PetroVietnam on course for sustainable development
Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has expressed its willingness to tighten relationship and business co-operation with domestic and international partners and contractors.
According to the report on the results of thrift making and anti-waste in 2017 that PVN sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance, in 2017 PVN made savings of VND 3,837 billion.
At the conference on production and business activities in the first quarter of 2018, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed that from the beginning of the year, despite facing a lot of difficulties and challenges, the group and its member units have deployed the production and business tasks in an effective and safe way, and achieved positive results. The most production targets have been exceedingly completed by 4-15% over the plan of the first quarter.
On 12 October 2017, at the Government’s headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc worked with key leaders of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to evaluate the results of implementation of the production and business plan in 2017 and the deployment of key oil and gas projects.
Vnesheconombank, International Investment Bank, and PetroVietnam have entered into a tripartite memorandum determining the cooperation framework of financing the construction of Long Phu 1 power plant in Vietnam, according to International Investment Bank’s press release dated September 8.
On May 12, 2017 Kien Giang Provincial Peoples Committee (PPC) officially handed over the investment certificate to Southwest Gas Pipeline Operation Company (SW POC) for deploying the Gas Pipeline Project (Southwest Gas Project) from Lot B to Omon Power Plant.
On November 2, 2016 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (VN) in collaboration with the PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) held a ceremony to sign the principle contract to supply imported coal for the thermal power plants (PV Power TPP) invested by PVN.
